Oriabe, a 10,000 sq. ft. adobe energy efficient passive solar estate nestled into a grouping of large granite boulders, is architecturally designed to merge gracefully with its sustainable landscape of avocado orchards and other crops.

The walls made of adobe add solar solar mass, while the garden retaining walls provide an aesthetically pleasing and durable foundation for a contemporary adobe vernacular architecture.

This project also incorporates an alternative landscaping proposal that encourages sustainable biodiversity.
